
A CDPE will work with you to determine your eligibility and what programs might be available. Many times the bank will work with you to renegotiate your mortgage. Other times the bank will work cooperatively with you to sell the home at market value and forgive the remaining balance owed on the property. There are several steps involved in a short sale and the process does take longer than a conventional sale would.
You want someone working for you who is going to communicate clearly with the lender and provide support along the way. A CDPE already knows what documents and information the bank will request. Getting the bank the correct paperwork in the correct time frame is critical to closing the deal.
